TIMING:

The Mont Tremblant triathlon & duathlon timing system is manage by Sportstats. Sportstats ulilizes the Championship timing system with requires all participants to wear a computer chip around their ankle.

Athletes are responsible for returning their chip at the finish line. Note- you are responsible for the cost of replacing lost computer chips !

AWARDS:

All athletes will receive a medal when crossing successfully the finish line.

Category winners will received a medal for their accomplishment for the three first positions officially presented on stage at the awards ceremony.

RULES:

GENERAL RULES
For the duration of the event, no help from outside is permitted.

Participants must follow the course laid out by the organizers.

Non-sportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.

Triathlon Quebec general race rules applies.

Any infraction to the Mont Tremblant Triathlon rules and Triathlon Quebec rules can result in disqualification by Triathlon Quebec or by the race director of the event.

SWIM COURSE

It is mandatory to wear the bathing cap provided by the event organizers.

Wetsuits will be permitted if the water temperature is under 22c. Permission will be given the morning of the event.

CYCLING COURSE

CSA and ANSI approved riding helmets must be worn.

A t-shirt or racing top is mandatory for all.

Drafting is forbidden in all categories.

Bikes used for the event must be in good, safe condition and functionnal.

Participants must stay to their right at all times.

Aero bars may be used by those 16 and over.

A course map will be given in the participant kit.

It is the responsibility of all participants to be familiar with the race course and the rules.

RUNNING COURSE

Participants must stay to their right at all times.

A course map will be given in the participant kit.

It is the responsibility of all participants to know the race course.

There will be three (3) drink stations and two (2) sponges stations on the course.

A t-shirt or racing top must be worn at all times.

The bib must be worn in front at all times.

TEAMS

Two (2) of three (3) participants will wear a bib (the cyclist and the runner), but all three (3) of them must be marked.

All relays are done with a "shake of the hand" in the transition zone. The swimmer gives the chip to the cyclist who will give it to the runner. The runner will attach it to his/her ankle.

TRANSITION ZONE

All participants must present their bibs in order to enter the transition zone.

The transition zone is off limits to anyone without authorization.

Participants must mount their bikes before leaving the transition zone where indicated.

Swimming:
Bathing cap must be worn

Cycling:
Helmets must be worn and secured before taking their bike off the rack. Helmets must stay attached during the entire bike race.

Bikes must be placed in the racks provided by the event.

Running:
Show bib in front before leaving the transition zone.
